Children waiting for adoption.
“Dare To Believe”
Gwendolyn is a very courageous and bright little girl. She has been in foster care since 1996. Although she has suffered a great deal of disappointments in her life, she has refused to give up on the hope of one day being adopted by a family that can love and appreciate her.
Gwendolyn is a very engaging and well mannered child who has made very good strides in her foster home. She has learned that when becoming angry about something that she can express her feelings and concerns in a positive way.
She loves school and has managed to keep an A and B average throughout the year. She is very proud of herself and excited about being promoted to Junior High School.
Gwendolyn has stated that she wants to become a schoolteacher, because she feels that the teaching profession is very important for the children.
This young lady’s hobbies include: reading, visiting with her brothers and sister when given the opportunity, shopping at the local malls, talking with her friends on the phone, and playing basketball. Gwendolyn hopes that she can become a professional basketball player as her second career choice. Gwendolyn needs a family that will be able to support her in achieving her goals, and provide her with the educational, emotional, financial support towards reaching her full potential in society.
