Wendy's Wonderful Kids
Welcome, Wendy's Wonderful Kids is a program sponsored by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The Adoption Center of the Delaware Valley has the distinction of being a WWK agency in the Philadelphia region. The program is coordinated by Crystal Allen (NJ) and Jason Monn (DE).
Wendy's Wonderful Kids is the direct-service signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption that combines the fundraising of Wendy's and its customers; aggressive grants management of the foundation; and the talent of experienced adoption recruiters throughout the nation and in Canada to move children from foster care into permanent, loving adoptive homes.
Currently, there are more than 463,000 children in the U.S. foster care system; 123,000 of those children are available for adoption, and many of them can spend five years or more in the foster care system before they are adopted. Five years is a lifetime to a child.

Adoption Recruiters here at the Center actively engage the children in the process of finding permanent families. They meet regularly with each child to plan recruitment, review the child's files to find potential connections, and prepare the child and potential families for adoption.
