The National Adoption Center's Devoted Staff
Ken Mullner, Executive Director, is fulfilling his passion to ensure that every child who needs a family will have one and to make the adoption process easier for prospective parents. Ken has two children, the youngest of whom is adopted. Mullner, born in the Bronx, NY came to the Adoption Center after 14 years as executive director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Gloria Hochman, Director of Communications, has been with the organization for more than 30 years. She is the author of three books, one of which was on the New York Times best seller list for three months. She writes magazine and newspaper articles and is the winner of 27 journalism awards. She handles the Center's media program, moderates special events, appears frequently on radio and television shows about adoption and develops the Center's printed materials.

Christine Jacobs, Program Director, has more than twenty-five years of experience in foster care adoption. She leads and manages all programs for the National Adoption Center / Adoption Center of Delaware Valley. Christine has presented on the issues of child specific recruitment, family recruitment and retention, teen matching events and child preparation for recruitment at the conferences of the Adoption Exchange Association, the North American Council on Adoptable Children, the Pennsylvania Adoption Conference, the Child Welfare League of America and the American Humane Society. Christine holds a BA in Psychology and is an adoptive parent.

Alexandra Buczek,
Manager, Online Presence, has more than fifteen years
of experience in emerging technology. From building websites to accompany
college texts to developing online testing and training, she has seen
the positive application of technology-based tools. She leads and manages
all web-based initiatives for the National Adoption Center. Alexandra
holds a BS in Physics from the University of Rhode Island, a MS in Communications from Drexel University and an MBA in Sustainable Business from Green Mountain College.
