Single Parent Adoption is Possible
We believe that every child has the right to a loving, nurturing and permanent family, and that people from a variety of life experiences offer strengths for these children. Therefore, it is the policy of the National Adoption Center that no person should be denied consideration in the adoption process solely based on marital status, sexual orientation, lifestyle, disability, physical appearance, race, gender, age, religion and/or size of family.
Many people, both male and female, decide to pursue single parent adoption. Building one's support group as you decide to proceed ahead with adoption is especially important. Remember family and friends want you wish you all the happiness in the world. You may anticipate explaining your reasoning for going ahead with your plans, especially to those not familiar with the single parent adoption process. You may also find it helpful to join an online or face to face support group to expand your support.
The center is committed to providing assistance to those who wish to pursue single parent adoption. Under development are a few programs which will help you along your way and provide you with adoption resources. Watch here for updates as we debut those programs and services. Until then, please contact us for further single parent adoption information.
