Privacy Policy

The National Adoption Center, and its affiliate, the Adoption Center of Delaware Valley (collectively, the Center) has a strong commitment to user privacy as demonstrated by this statement and its gathering and dissemination practices for its websites. The Center collects information volunteered by visitors to its websites, such as survey information and/or site registrations. Any information provided to the Center will be stored in a secure environment and will not be misused.

The Center receives information from social workers and manages information for children who are waiting for adoption, for families approved for adoption, and for prospective adoptive families. The sole purpose for the collection of this information is to facilitate quality recruitment, secure placements, and establish permanency for U.S. waiting children. Therefore, demographic and profile data on families is collected at the Center's sites.

The Center uses the consumer's email address to provide services, information, newsletters, announcements, and occasional requests for donations. By using the Center's sites, services, or by providing an email address, the consumer is granting the Center permission to contact him or her by email for these purposes.

The information the Center collects is shared with reputable adoption agencies at the request of the consumers and/or their social workers, case managers and approved agency staff. The Center uses the consumer's IP address to help diagnose problems with its server, and to administer its sites.

The Center uses cookies to save the user's password, when necessary, to avoid re-entering them each time. In order for some of the features, such as the message boards and chat rooms, to function properly during use, cookies are required.

Those who do not want to receive email from the Center in the future, may let the Center know by:
