A searcher can join reunion registries as part of the search and reunion process.
A searcher (whether adoptee or birth family member) would do well to register on the most widely used free search registry in the world:
International Soundex Reunion Registry
Note: this registry is a passive registry--unless both sides of a family are searching for one another, no “match” will be made.
Statewide Reunion Registries
A searcher could also join a state reunion registry. In fact, some states require a searcher to do so.
For access to State Reunion Registry phone numbers and websites, please join the National Adoption Center’s online social networking community.
Upon joining, logon information will be supplied to provide access.
